Dawgorific Fun – 6 times a year !
March 3rd weekend
the all things Green St. Patty’s Day weekend Dawg extravaganza - an excuse to party w/ your pup, wear something green and toast the Irish! May 2nd weekend it’s Mother Day weekend and what better way to spend it than by com’n out to a trial where you are absolutely, 100%, guaranteed your special Dawggy will not knock a bar all weekend. Yes, it’s a no-jumping weekend, with 4 rounds each of Weavers, Touch ‘n Go & Tunnelers !! July 4th, 5th & 6th – the 4th of July Holiday Weekend 3 Day celebration! Indoors, air-conditioned, put on the John Phillip Souza music & march those Dawggys about the rings! August 30th, 31st, and Sept 1stthe Labor Day Holiday Weekend 3 day celebration! Even in September it’s Hot as Hell & Humid as Heck {as in Hell, Kansas & Heck, Missouri}, so our 3 days of Dawggy fun is a spectacular celebration of leis, hulas, aloha shirts and everything tropical! November 1st weekend– the Howl–o-ween in Dawgersztan celebration – featuring the Dawggy & Handler costume contest & parade, plus Dawggy and Handler trick or treating! December 3rd weekend the Christmas celebration – featuring a visit from a Sorta Santa Clause & Mrs. Claws bringing with them presents for all the good Dawggys, which is to say all of the Dawggys, and all the good Handlers, which is to say, all those handlers who have been good. The March, May, November & December trials are held at Douglas County Fairgrounds in Lawrence, Kansas. The facility is fully enclosed and heated. It even has indoor bathrooms :-} The surface is rolled dirt, with room for two rings of about 100’ by 100’. Around the rings is a wide concrete pad providing lots of space for kenneling. The June/July & September trials are held at MVP Sports Complex in Greenwood, Missouri, an indoor, air-conditioned facility. Who cares how hot it is outside, we’re inside in the cool air! Lots of kenneling room, with two rings of agility on a surface of cushioned, absolutely flat professional soccer turf. |
